Intro to Freediving Course | Beginner Freediving & Breathwork Experience
Take your first step into freediving with The Pressure Project’s Intro to Freediving course—a beginner-friendly experience designed to give you a safe, fun, and accessible introduction to the world of breath-hold diving. Perfect for anyone curious about trying a freediving course, this session combines breathwork, relaxation techniques, and pool-based apnea training to help you discover what your body is capable of.
This beginner freediving course starts with a short theory session, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of freediving, including how the body and mind respond underwater. You’ll then move into a guided breathwork and apnea training workshop, where you’ll learn practical techniques to relax your nervous system, improve breath control, and safely extend your breath-hold.
To finish, you’ll put everything into practice during a pool freediving session (static apnea), experiencing the calm, focus, and mental clarity that freediving is known for. This is often the moment where everything clicks—when you realise freediving is as much about the mind as it is about the body.
Located on the Sunshine Coast at Kawana Aquatic Centre, this introductory freediving experience is ideal for complete beginners, ocean lovers, surfers, and anyone looking to explore breathwork, mindfulness, and mental resilience in a practical way.
No prior experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
If you love your first session, you can continue your journey with our PADI One Day Freediving Course or progress to the PADI Two Day Freediver Course to become a certified freediver and explore the ocean on a deeper level.
